Massachusetts Historical Attractions

Some of the nation's most fascinating museums combine with historic landmarks and vintage homes in Greater Boston and throughout Massachusetts. The entire region celebrates the treasures of yesterday by painstakingly preserving its rich colonial heritage in fine museums and historic parks and sites. One of the nation's historical jewels is the 200-acre Old Sturbridge Village. Visitors can learn about spinning at Widow Fenno's, try milking a cow, watch a blacksmith or potter at work, and tour early mills. The vast array of collections, exhibits, and programs present the story of everyday life in a small New England town during the years 1790 to 1840.
